We have trash bags, and a limited supply of gloves and safety vests.Meet us at the center by 1:00.  Parking at center or on street.  Carpooling is encouraged.  Rain date: Saturday, June 9

Washington Metaphysical Church celebrating 34th Anniversary

WMC's 34th Anniversary PicnicWASHINGTON METAPHYSICAL CHURCH
34th ANNIVERSARY PICNIC
Sunday, June 10, 2012
Noon – 4:00 p.m.
4300 Metzerott Road
College Park, MD 20740

The Washington Metaphysical Church, originally called The Miracle Light of God’s World Church, was founded in June 1978.  Thirty-four years later, we are still actively teaching Metaphysical truth, both through our worship services and our Metaphysical Learning Center.  Please join us for the Church’s annual picnic/anniversary party on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from Noon – 4:00 p.m.

Bring your favorite dish! We look forward to seeing you.

Directions: Beltway I-95/495 Exit #25B (Route 1 toward College Park). Follow Route 1 to a right on University Blvd. (Route 193 toward University of Maryland). Go past Paint Branch Golf Course/Golden Bear Center and make a left onto Metzerott Road (before the traffic light). Picnic area will be past the pool, on the left. (Sits across from Paint Branch Golf Course entrance.) From University Blvd. West, go past Metzerott Rd/Azalea Lane (at traffic light) and make next right onto Metzerott Road (continued from previous Metzerott Rd on the left).

If you are traveling East on University Boulevard toward Route 1, Metzerott Road will be the first right after you pass the light at Paint Branch Road/Metzerott Road. (If you make a right at the light, you will enter the Univ. of MD campus. It is confusing because at that light, Metzerott is to the left and Paint Branch Road is to the right.) You don’t want to make the left onto Metzerott. Continue on University and make the first right onto Metzerott.

Adopt-A-Road: Helping make our community a better place

Adopt-A-Road ProgramGreat News!  The Metaphysical Learning Center received confirmation today from the Montgomery County Department of Transportation that we were approved as an Adopt-A-Road sponsor for our neighborhood.  As part of our community outreach effort, we will be helping keep our community beautiful by picking up trash and debris along a 4/5 mile stretch of our road at least six times a year.  This is an excellent opportunity to help make your world a better place.  We appreciate your help and participation in this important community outreach activity.  Watch for details on specific pick-up dates coming soon!

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Road program was designed as an effective way to remove roadside waste, which protects and beautifies our natural resources, surrounding wildIife and our neighborhoods. If you live near a thoroughfare in Montgomery County that could use a little help, please visit Montgomery County’s Adopt-A-Road website for information on how you or your employer can participate in this important FREE program.  The website lists county roads needing sponsors, as well as information about how the program works, and the materials that are provided.  The State of Maryland has a similar Adopt-A-Highway for state-maintained roads (those designated with route numbers).  More information can be found at the State Highway Administration’s Adopt-A-Highway website.

Even if you aren’t actively participating in this kind of program, take time to pick up and dispose of trash when you see it.  It is said that “if you aren’t part of the solution, you are part of the problem.”  Let’s do what we can to be part of the solution!

Help us help you in your Spiritual growth

Thank you for helping to make The Metaphysical Learning Center a continuing success!  Since we opened last September, our expectations have been exceeded on a regular basis as we continue to grow.  We have been blessed to offer a variety of one-time and ongoing classes focusing on Metaphysical topics.  One of our founding goals was to provide the opportunity for our community to learn more about what Metaphysics is and how it can enhance your life, and we have met so many interesting people along the way!  Read More

“Let Go, Let GOD!” bracelet

MLC Bracelet

We use the expression, “Let Go and Let God” to remind ourselves that God is in all things, and when we trust in Divine Order, we can’t go wrong. It is only when we start trying to interfere with the process that we run into frustration and challenges, because we act and react based on our desire, instead of what we need. Help remind yourself with our limited edition bracelet. It is debossed with the mantra, “Let Go, Let GOD!” on one side, and our website on the other. Only $2.50, including postage. Visit our Support page to order one today!
